Surge
Comparison test set can be used to detect insulation defects,
winding faults in single and multi phases motor windings
without changing coil connections, based on the comparison
method, with a reference winding. The total voltage impressed
on the winding is peak-to-peak, which can be selected to any
required level by adjusting the output control and is read
directly from the waveform displayed on the CRT screen.
Distinct
waveforms give indications of various defects such as:
Turn
to turn short, Coil to coil short in same phase.
Phase to phase short, partial & complete.
Improper coil connections.
Reverse coil connections.
Open coil connections.
Short to ground partial & complete.

across low resistance elements, contacts, switches, D.C. motor
commutator segments etc.

MOTOR TEST BENCH FOR NO LOAD TEST FOR INDUCTION

Motor
Test Bench is capable of testing 3 phase, 50 c/s, 440 V Induction
motors providing the following scope of tests.

Voltage test upto 3 kV rms.
Capacity:
500 mA in the H.V. side with tripping at 100 mA, 250 mA & 500 mA.
Duty cycle: 5 mins. ON 5 mins. OFF
Insulation
test at 500 V DC & 1000V DC.
Performance
tests for induction motors at NO LOAD with application of

i. No load current characteristic.
