APPLICATION:

“NTPL” make 10KV/150mA AC High Voltage Test Set is suitable for Power frequency applied voltage test on transformers, motors, insulators etc. for which the test parameters are within the technical scope of output of the test set. The set is capable of giving continuously variable High Voltage from 0-10KV AC.

TECHNICAL features:

  • Output voltage variation: By means of manual rotation of Variable Autotransformer Knob.
  • Over load tripping adjustment at any setting : 5mA/15mA/25mA/50mA/100mA/150mA
  • Over Voltage Indication & Interlock provided.
  • Output Voltage Accuracy: ±2%
  • Measuring Voltage Range: 0- 11kV AC
  • Measuring Current Range:  0- 160mA AC

The above test kit will be in single Unit. The Test Set consists of Control & Measurement Section & HV Transformer. 

CONTROL & MEASUREMENT SECTION:

  • Power Mains ON – OFF MCB along with lamp indication.
  • ‘HT’ ON push button along with ‘HT ON’ lamp indication.
  • ‘Emergency OFF’ push button along with ‘HT OFF’ lamp indication.
  • Continuously variable autotransformer of suitable capacity to increase the output test voltage up to the required voltage level.

METERING:

  • Digital Panel voltmeter generally connected to the LT side and scaled in KV. Resolution: 0.01KV.
  • Digital milliammeter along with ‘PRESS TO READ mA’ push button to read the leakage current.
  • Digital ‘TIMER’ will be provided to measure the duration of applied HV. A Buzzer will indicate the end of test. Time setting can be adjustable up to 0-999 Sec with ON /OFF Switch.
  • If the DUT withstands the Test without tripping then ‘OK’ lamp will glow.

PROTECTION & INTERLOCK:

  • Zero start interlocking will be provided to ensure that the HV circuit cannot be energised unless the regulator is initially kept or brought back to zero position.
  • Visual as well as audible indication for High Voltage ON.
  • Automatic tripping mechanism against over loading. After tripping, High Voltage will be switched OFF i.e. over-current Tripping Facility, and In-Built over–current Protection.
  • Automatic tripping mechanism against overloading. The tripping mechanism can be adjusted at different values as mentioned above. After tripping, High Voltage will be switched OFF and HT circuit will get latched. The Test Set will indicate ‘NOT OK’ through visual indication and audio alarm. ‘RESET’ feature will be provided to release the latched circuit.
  • In case of over voltage a lamp & buzzer will indicate over voltage.

HV Transformer:

HV Transformer used in the Test Set will be heavy-duty epoxy cast resin type of suitable capacity. The HV winding of the transformer is of graded insulation, one end being connected to the earth potential through a CT operated milliammeter & tripping device, while the other end remains in floating condition as HT Terminal.

The transformer will be designed to withstand frequent intermittent spark over or short circuit conditions under which such testing transformers are designed to operate..

• HV Probe for HV Output cable-5M-1 no.

• Discharge rod (Earthing rod) with grounding cable.-1no.

• Ground cable- 5M-1 no. with Crocodile clip.
