APPLICATION:

During installation, testing, especially if the protective gear is connected to the power line via a current transformer it is advisable to use our Primary Current Injection Set. Thus, wide range of Primary Current Injection Sets are being manufactured by “NTPL”.

These sets have been designed to enable the users of heavy electrical equipment to carry out such tests as have previously been described with a maximum efficiency at minimum cost, providing a convenient means of delivering, controlling and measuring a heavy current in a comparatively low voltage low impedance circuit. A set like this is ideal for routine testing of circuit breakers, current transformers with or, without ammeter and can be used for many other applications where a heavy current supply of short duration is required

“NTPL” MAKE 300A/5V PRIMARY CURRENT INJECTION SET

TECHNICAL FEATURES:

Input : 230 Volts, single phase, 50Hz, AC.

Output : A) Current output: Continuously variable from

0-300 Amps at 5 Volts (Open circuit voltage).

0-150 Amps at 10 Volts (Open circuit voltage).

0-75 Amps at 20 Volts (Open circuit voltage).

B) Voltage Output: 0-250V, 1ph., 50Hz., Max. Capacity: 4A Either current output or voltage output mode selectable at a time.

Duty : Intermittent i.e. 5 minutes ON, 10 minutes. OFF.

The above test kit will be in single unit provided with wheels for easy movement.

Power Mains ON – OFF operation is done by means of an ON – OFF switch & Fuse or by MCB along with ‘ON’ lamp indication.
Control START-STOP push along with ‘START’ lamp indication to energise the control
Continuously variable autotransformer providing smooth control from zero to maximum rated current.

The whole control circuitry & loading unit will be housed within a well-ventilated sheet metal cabinet treated properly and powder coated. All control knobs, switches, terminals, meter etc. are mounted on the top panel, which can be approached by opening the hinged lid. The output terminals are to be fitted at the rear of the cabinet.

LOADING TRANSFORMER:

Double wound air cooled type loading transformer with secondary winding sections arranged for different output current ranges, selectable by proper series parallel links connections.
Current Transformer & its secondary terminals.
Heavy current output terminals.
